Ho Chi Minh City – the heart of Vietnam
Ho Chi Minh City will always be special for us – it was our first trip to Asia. Dotted with pagodas and food stalls, Ho Chi Minh City is a mix of old and new – from fancy ice cream shops and designer boutiques to curbside food stalls and ancient temples. Also, be sure to visit Reunification Palace to discover more about Vietnam’s history and check out the local markets. And then there is food – delicious, flavorful and inexpensive. And by the way, the food in the nicer restaurants was not as good as in the simple local places, so don’t be shy and explore beyond the touristic eateries.
